Stephen J. Herman, MD - President
Dr. Herman, who trained at the University of Toronto and Harvard University, has served for over 20 years as a staff radiologist at the University Health Network/Mount Sinai Hospital in Toronto. For 10 years during this period, he served as the head of Thoracic Imaging at the University of Toronto, where he is currently an Associate Professor. Dr. Herman is a well-known author and lecturer and has written over 40 articles in scientific journals. He has been invited as a lecturer at national and international radiology-related conferences on numerous occasions throughout his career.
An entrepreneur throughout his career, Dr. Herman was the founding visionary and President of Interpra Medical Imaging Network Ltd., a radiology workflow software publisher, from its inception in 1996 until its acquisition in 1999 by Merge Technologies of Milwaukee, WI, a NASDAQ listed company. Dr. Herman then served for four years as Chief Medical Officer and as a member of the Executive team at Merge as the company’s revenues grew from $6MM to over $25MM.

David M. Judd - Chief Technology Officer
David Judd graduated from the University of Toronto in Computer Engineering specializing in distributed computing systems. His thesis work focused on service based architectures and designing large systems made from a number of small, distributed components that can spontaneously combine together and communicate to form highly available and scalable computing grids. David has become an expert in Internet based technologies and languages such as HTTP, XML, ASP.NET, J2EE, AJAX, and has worked as a software developer and architect for several companies over the past 10 years.
Recently, David was the Director of Technology at a company focused on enterprise remote connectivity and global Internet roaming. He helped design and lead a team that developed and maintained a distributed authentication system that allowed users to log onto the Internet anywhere in the world using the same set of credentials. A credit card based registration portal was also developed, allowing users to sign-up and start using the service without talking to a salesperson, as well as view, download, and pay outstanding invoices.
David has been an active member of the open source community, and has a strong interest in the digital home and home theatre computers and networks.
