Meet our Management Team
Hasan Dharamshi
President
Hasan is a healthcare executive with strategy, operations, technology and consulting experience in NA, UK, AUS and EMEA markets. Previously, Hasan worked with industry-leading professional service firms Accenture and Healthtech Consultants where he drove large scale digital transformation projects and authored a white paper on cloud computing in healthcare. His background includes a Master of Health Informatics Degree from the University of Toronto and he continues to guest lecture in health informatics and CDS systems.
Dr. Steve Herman
Founder & Medical Director
Dr. Stephen Herman has served for over twenty-five years as a thoracic radiologist. Trained at the University of Toronto and Harvard, Dr. Herman is currently an Associate Professor at the University of Toronto Faculty of Medicine where he also served as head of Thoracic Imaging. Dr. Herman also founded and served as President of Interpra Medical Imaging Network, a radiology workflow software publisher. After it was divested to Merge Technologies, Dr. Herman then served as Chief Medical Officer of Merge and a member of Merge’s executive team until 2003.
Martin Kepa
VP Account Management
Martin brings extensive experience in clinical, technical, operations, business consulting and account management in the health domain to the MedCurrent team. Martin started his career as a radiological technologist (MRT(R)) and moved into progressively senior roles in imaging informatics. Aside from hospitals, Martin has worked with start-ups, mid-sized health facilities as well as a large multi-national IT services firm (CGI Inc.) to help deliver and manage complex health informatics solutions for healthcare customers. His background includes undergraduate degrees in Human Biology, Medical Radiation Sciences as well as an Executive Master of Health Informatics (EMHI) degree from the University of Toronto.
Laurie Pinkney
VP Product & Services
Laurie brings over twenty-five years of experience leading professional services teams, establishing project management methodologies and guiding major deployments across North America and the UK in a variety of clinical settings. Laurie has a proven track record successfully scaling medtech companies at eFilm (acquired by Merge), TPS Healthcare, and Radimetrics (acquired by Bayer). Laurie has a deep understanding of the software development life cycle, product management and risk analysis in a medical context.
